ROD LUFF
" I was born in San Salvador, El Salvador in 1987. During the upheaval of the civil war in 1990, my mother decided to emigrate and we moved to Sydney, Australia. I changed schools a few times growing up in Sydney and I found my interest in drawing and reading was a constant source of imaginative freedom during this time.
In 2005, during my last year of high school, I received a scholarship to the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney. In 2010, I was asked to participate in my first two solo shows, so I quit my job and decided to pursue fine art. The shows opened in early 2011 at Phone Booth Gallery, Long Beach and Spoke Art Gallery, San Francisco.
I've also curated the "Moleskine Project" exhibitions over at Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco since.
I’m currently living in Sydney and working towards group or solo exhibitions, personal work and commissions. " RL
Mostly he uses Graphite, coloured pencil, ink, pastel, acrylic on heavyweight Fabriano Hot Press Watercolour paper
