BILL GEKAS

Born and residing in Melbourne Australia, Bill Gekas is a multi awarded and published fine art portrait photographer.
Self taught and by learning the intricacies of photography since the mid 90's, his admiration and respect for the works by the old master painters has influenced his stylistic approach to the craft.
His works have been published in various art journals, books, magazines, newspapers and other media outlets worldwide including BBC, NBC Today, ABC News, Daily Mail and others.
Although he occasionally shoots commissioned work, the renowned and exhibited works are primarily of his young daughter portraying a protagonist in a storytelling scene, a universal child.

Practicing the art of photography and constantly refining his style.

[ENG] Jean-Sebastien ROSSBACH is an award winning illustrator, concept artist, and painter.
He's known for having illustrated the covers of Dan Simmons's Hyperion series, George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones, Robin Hobb's Royal Assassin and about a hundred more covers for novels, video games, comics, and so on...
JS works for prestigious clients among which are Marvel, Top Cow, Warner Home Video, Ubisoft, Wizard of the Coast, Blizzard, Wizkids, Tor Books, SEAT, EMI and many others around the globe.
A winner of the Art&Fact prize for best illustrator of the year 2008 in France, rewarded by an award in Spectrum 18 in 2011.
2012 was a turning point in his carrier : he published an artbook named BURNING INSIDE, gathering ten years of his best illustrations. At the very same time gallery Daniel Maghen hosted his first real solo exhibition named MOTHER, showcasing his personal paintings with great success. A beautiful catalog of the exhibition was publish for the occasion.

[FR] Jean-Sebastien ROSSBACH est un des illustrateurs français les plus prolixes de sa génération. Spécialisé dans la SF, le fantastique et la fantasy, il a entre autres réalisé les couvertures de la série Hyperion de Dan Simmons, le Trône de fer, ou l'Assassin Royal. Il est le co-auteur du très remarqué beau-livre MERLIN paru chez Soleil.
Aux USA, il a travaillé pour Marvel et DC Comics, les jeux de cartes Magic, ou dans le film d'animation avec le studio Blur.
Lauréat du prix Art&Fact 2008 du meilleur illustrateur, récompensé d'un Award dans Spectrum en 2011.
Mais l'année charnière pour lui est bien 2012 : il publie BURNING INSIDE, un artbook qui rassemble les meilleures images de 10 ans d'une carrière internationale. Il signe aussi sa première véritable exposition solo nommée MOTHER à la galerie Daniel Maghen, qui met dans la lumière son travail personnel de peinture, avec à la clé un somptueux catalogue d'exposition en tirage limité.
